Q: What inspired your career choice?
MN: I worked as a Physician Assistant after college and that truly exposed me to medicine. Many of my colleagues told me that I should go back to school and become a doctor. And I did.
Q: What advice would you have for young physicians today?

MN: I was a competitive baton twirler and have twirled at halftime for the NY Nicks.
Q: Would you rather have beach house or a mountain house?
MN: Mountain house because I don’t like sand.
Q: What’s your favorite sports team/ and or city?
MN: Clemson Tigers.
Q: What is your focus on medicine now?
MN: I spend my professional working day overseeing hospice patients for a national hospice organization as well as visiting in person and telehealth inbound patients in hospitals in the state of Massachusetts. I love what I do because I think that we have a responsibility to take care of people in absence of a cure and there are very few physicians that can stand in that place. We don’t train enough physician to be comfortable there. For me, I find it very satisfying.

Q: What is an ideal vacation for you?
MN: It would be an isolated destination with immediate family only. And there would be reruns of The Voice.
Q: Why do you love MOS?
MN: I am inspired and grateful everyday for the origin of our profession and its uniqueness. I had the opportunity to attend school at NYIT COM early in my career and I want to give back and promote future osteopathic physicians even in a small way.
Q: What is something interesting about you?
MN: I live in a tiny house. A true tiny house. It is 450 square feet in Travelers Rest, South Carolina with my physician husband.
